Tom Holland, preparing for his return as Peter Parker in the upcoming "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," has expressed his desire to see Miles Morales integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Holland shared his aspirations for a post-"Brand New Day" era during an interview with Hobby Consolas. When questioned about the potential for his Spider-Man to mentor another wall-crawler, Holland revealed that he is actively involved in efforts to bring Miles Morales into the MCU. "I know that I have aspirations to bring Miles Morales into the universe, however that works out," he stated, acknowledging that significant work is required to realize this vision.
Fans have long anticipated the appearance of Miles Morales in the MCU since the premiere of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" in 2017. That film included a notable reference to the character through a cameo by his uncle, Aaron Davis, portrayed by Donald Glover. Davis, also known as the Prowler, has established ties with Miles Morales in other media, including the "Marvel's Spider-Man" video games and the "Spider-Verse" animated films. Although Miles Morales has not yet appeared in Holland's standalone Spider-Man films, Aaron Davis's character alluded to having a nephew within the MCU.
Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has previously been non-committal regarding the possibility of a second Spider-Man appearing in the MCU. While Holland has not confirmed a post-"Brand New Day" appearance for Miles Morales, he indicated it is something he is working towards. "I would love to return that favor to the next generation of people that get the luxury of making these movies," Holland said, referencing his own introduction to the MCU under the guidance of Robert Downey Jr. "So that is definitely something I'm really working towards."
Holland's focus on Miles Morales follows recent comments where he expressed interest in helping to "set up" the next chapter for Spider-Man in the MCU. "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is scheduled for release on July 31, 2026. In the interim, details regarding the film's mystery villain and early promotional merchandise, such as popcorn buckets, have been revealed.
