Alix Wilton Regan, who is taking over the role of Lara Croft for Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog's forthcoming title, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, has announced the conclusion of the game's main recording sessions. Regan shared the news via an Instagram post, describing the milestone as "big" and "emotional."
"So, I have just wrapped on the last official session of the main game of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, which feels big and feels emotional," Regan stated in her post. She noted that while the main recording is done, there will still be additional pickup sessions for minor adjustments and bug fixes. Regan indicated that her involvement in the project began in 2022. "This journey started in 2022, and it's now the tenth of July 2026, so that's a big leap," she remarked.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is now slated for release on February 12th of next year, having previously been targeted for a 2026 launch. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
A recent preview of the game described it as "strangely double-A" but possessing its own charm. "I would maybe just gently temper your expectations for this one," the preview suggested. "Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is breezy and enjoyable enough, its new voiceover for Lara Craft is pleasantly posh, its design dappled with moments that feel lovably old-school. But a prestige, properly modern remake this is not."
