Creative Assembly has announced that the Lords of the End Times DLC for Total War: Warhammer 3 will launch on September 24. The DLC will introduce four new Legendary Lords, each with unique campaign mechanics and playstyles.
Players will be able to command Nagash, Supreme Lord of the Undead, who seeks to gather his Mortarch lieutenants and lost Books of Nagash to ascend to godhood. Boris Todbringer, the one-eyed leader of Middenland, will empower his Great Temple of Ulric through battle fervor to gain army bonuses. The Glottkin, favored by Nurgle, will spread plagues and summon demonic units as they lay waste to the world. Finally, the Skaven Grey Seer Thanquol will pursue his notoriously destructive schemes, with success depending on the player's ability to manage collateral damage.
Alongside the DLC release, Creative Assembly will also deploy substantial free game updates. These include gameplay overhauls for Vampire Counts and Archaon, new end-game scenarios, and reworked victory conditions for every legendary lord. A cinematic trailer showcasing the End Times and Grey Seer Thanquol was released to accompany the announcement.
In a first for the series, purchasing any of the Lords of the End Times DLC content, whether as a bundle or individually, will grant players access to the massive Immortal Empires campaign mode, even if they do not own any of the previous Total War: Warhammer titles. This expansion makes the grand strategy experience more accessible to a wider audience.
Lords of the End Times is set to launch on Steam on September 24.
