Twitch CEO Dan Clancy has stated that the multiplayer component of Grand Theft Auto 6 is slated for release in 2027. This timeline was shared during a recent interview with Bloomberg, though Rockstar Games has yet to make an official announcement regarding the multiplayer aspect of GTA 6 or the future of GTA Online.
Clancy expressed that he had discussions with Rockstar about their plans and how they might engage with creators on Twitch. "You are going to see this big bump with GTA 6, but then an even bigger one next year when they launch multiplayer," Clancy told the publication, suggesting a substantial impact is expected from the multiplayer launch.
Rockstar Games has not commented on the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 6 or its multiplayer launch. PC Gamer has reached out to both Rockstar and Twitch for further comment.
