Twitch CEO Dan Clancy has indicated that he expects Grand Theft Auto 6's online multiplayer component to launch in 2027. These remarks suggest that the successor to GTA Online may be revealed or made available roughly a year after the initial release of GTA 6.
Clancy shared his expectations in a conversation with Bloomberg, as reported by IGN. "We spent a lot of time talking with Rockstar about their plans, and also helping them think about how they can engage our creators," he stated. "You are going to see this big bump with GTA 6, but then an even bigger one next year when they launch multiplayer."
While this statement comes from the head of Twitch and not directly from Rockstar Games, it provides a potential timeline for the game's multiplayer features. Previous information regarding GTA 6's online services also emerged from court documents filed by Rockstar as part of a legal dispute concerning the dismissal of developers.
Rockstar Games has not yet officially confirmed the release date for GTA 6's multiplayer or its PC version. The company has remained largely silent on specific details surrounding the online component, leaving fans to speculate.
