Twitch is reportedly testing a new AI-powered tool called Stream Coach, designed to offer creators personalized feedback and suggestions for improving their streams. The tool, which has not been officially confirmed by Twitch, appears to be in a limited testing phase with select users, according to reporting from streaming journalist Zach Bussey.

Stream Coach is described as providing feedback after each stream, highlighting what a creator did well and suggesting areas for improvement. The AI could offer recommendations on how to better engage with viewers, understand Twitch culture, and utilize monetization tools. However, Twitch acknowledges that the tool is intended for informational purposes only and may not always be accurate, stating that its recommendations are not guarantees of success.

This initiative follows Twitch's earlier announcement regarding the use of creator content for AI training, a process that was opt-out by default and required users to navigate through multiple menu layers to disable. When questioned about the opt-out default, Twitch Chief Product Officer Mike Minton stated that an opt-in system would result in very few creators participating. This decision faced significant backlash from the streaming community.

Early reactions to the news of the Stream Coach tool suggest it may also be met with user dissatisfaction, mirroring the negative reception to the AI training program. Some creators have expressed concern about an AI dictating how they should manage their own streams.
