PlayStation Plus subscribers will see nine games depart the Extra and Premium tiers next month, Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed via the PlayStation Store. Players have until August 18 to access these titles before they are removed.
Among the departing games is Atlus's 2024 tactical role-playing game, Unicorn Overlord. Developed by Vanillaware, the game garnered widespread critical acclaim for its intricate systems and engaging battles, appealing to fans of titles like Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy: Tactics. Unicorn Overlord also proved to be a commercial success for Vanillaware, becoming the studio's fastest-selling game to date.
Another notable title leaving the service is Harold Halibut, a 2024 adventure game distinguished by its decade-long development and distinctive hand-crafted stop-motion visuals. The game offers a unique world with an emotionally resonant narrative.
Visceral action is also on the way out, with Dead Island 2, the 2023 zombie-slaying action RPG, set to leave PlayStation Plus. Despite its release a year ago, the game provides moments of straightforward, bloody fun in its open world.
