Until Dawn 2, the forthcoming choice-and-consequence horror game, has set its price on the PlayStation Store at £45 in the UK, a figure notably lower than most recent first-party PlayStation Studios releases.
This pricing contrasts with titles such as Saros and Marvel's Wolverine, which launched at £70 / $70, and Marvel's Tökön: Fighting Souls at £60 / $60. The lower price point for Until Dawn 2 has prompted speculation about the game's length or scope.
The sequel will transport players to Akishima Island, a tropical resort setting, and feature a new cast of characters. Peter Stormare is confirmed to reprise his role as Dr. Hill, the recurring character from the original game. Development is being handled by Firesprite Games, with assistance from AdHoc Studio, rather than Supermassive Games, the studio behind the original Until Dawn.
Until Dawn 2 is scheduled for release on January 28th for PlayStation 5.
