Vincent D’Onofrio, who portrays the formidable Wilson "Kingpin" Fisk, has publicly shared his sentiments regarding the news that Marvel's "Daredevil: Born Again" is set to conclude with its third season. D’Onofrio, who has embodied the iconic villain across "Daredevil: Born Again," the original Netflix series "Daredevil," and appearances in "Hawkeye" and "Echo," conveyed his appreciation for the journey.
"We so enjoyed bringing @Daredevil Born Again to you all," D’Onofrio wrote in a social media post. "You stuck with us and i like to think we stuck with you. We have the final Season, season 3 heading your way next year with some very cool stuff. Much love to all who have been supportive."
He further elaborated on his connection to the character, stating, "I love that character Fisk. Always will. Off to another neck off the woods. Meanwhile… Season 3 is coming!"
Details surrounding the abrupt conclusion of "Daredevil: Born Again" remain undisclosed, but reports indicate potential behind-the-scenes challenges. Showrunner Dario Scardapane reportedly departed the project during its post-production phase, a move that sources suggest has left the series without a clear leader to finalize its completion. "Daredevil: Born Again" Season 3 is anticipated to premiere on Disney+ in 2027.
Marvel Studios' upcoming television release is "VisionQuest," scheduled for October 14. The studio also has five other shows in development, including a project identified only as "Zodiac."
