Wardogs Season 2 Introduces Player-Betting System and Lonestar Faction Buffs

Wardogs season 2, launching October 15th alongside a full progress wipe, will introduce a new gambling system where players can bet in-game cash on their own performance. This new feature, accessible through a Wager Vendor, allows players to set additional conditions to increase potential payouts for successful matches.

The update also brings a variety of new content, including several weapons and vehicles such as a high-capacity SMG, molotov cocktails, and a tracked anti-air gun. Players will also have access to new buildable structures like machine gun nests and overhead shelters. Additionally, a new weather preset, thundery rainfall, will be added. This weather effect will reduce visibility and mask footstep sounds, impacting both snipers and close-quarters combat.

While a long-requested friends queue option is still in development, season 2 will feature a 'Squad Intent' function. This will allow squad leaders to publicly declare their squad's intended role, such as building, attacking objectives, or being 'noob friendly,' aiming to improve team coordination.

Developers Bulkhead have acknowledged that the Lonestar faction, often referred to as the blue team, has lower win percentages due to unfavorable spawn positions and uniform visibility. To address this, faction HQs will be repositioned on the Bakurani map, Lonestar's attire colors will be desaturated for better camouflage, and players on this team will receive cash and XP bonuses throughout season 2 as part of an effort to improve its standing.
