TennoCon 2026, held in London, Ontario, served as the venue for Digital Extremes to share numerous updates for its live-service titles, Warframe and Soulframe. The annual event provided players with insights into upcoming expansions, new characters, and evolving gameplay mechanics for both games.
For Soulframe, attendees and at-home viewers were treated to details on its pre-alpha playtest, Soulframe: Preludes. Players who sign up on the game's official website before 11:59 PM EDT on July 12 will gain access to this phase. Within Preludes, a new boss, the Mendicant Reinbreaker, has been introduced. Defeating this boss offers players the opportunity to befriend the horse it rides.
Soulframe's next major content update, Fable: Warsongs, is scheduled for release this fall. This update will introduce the Vadagar Pact, a new progression path for players that emphasizes more aggressive abilities. The game is also set to feature voice talents from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Ben Starr will voice an antagonist named Tempest Bayor, while Jennifer English will portray the Empress of Eldveil. Both characters made brief appearances during the TennoCon presentations.
Additional gameplay features are also planned for Soulframe: Preludes later this year, including the addition of mounts, allowing players to ride befriended animals, and a fishing minigame.
Warframe players were also acknowledged during TennoCon, with in-game events planned to coincide with the TennoLive 2026 showcase. These events will take place in a special Relay orbiting Saturn, allowing players to participate synchronously with the live stream. Further details on Warframe's future, including its planned expansion to the Tau system announced at a previous TennoCon, are expected to be revealed during the TennoLive segment.
