Owlcat Games is issuing a significant update for its Nintendo Switch port of Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader, seeking to rectify the disappointing launch of the critically acclaimed party-based CRPG. The patch, scheduled to go live today, aims to resolve numerous bugs and enhance both the visual presentation and overall performance of the game on the platform.

In a move intended as an apology for the port's initial state, Owlcat Games will also be making all current and future downloadable content for Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader available for free to all Switch owners. This includes the Digital Deluxe edition content as well as expansions such as "Void Shadows" and "Lex Imperialis." The developer has stated that the third and fourth major DLC packs will also be included in this complimentary offering.

The substantial update and the generous DLC policy follow the recent announcement of a physical release for the Switch version of Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader. This physical edition is slated for release on October 15, 2026, and is being developed by Silver Lining Interactive in collaboration with Owlcat Games and Games Workshop.

Owlcat Games is currently working on other projects, including a new Warhammer 40K CRPG titled "Dark Heresy" and an action RPG called "The Expanse: Osiris Reborn."
