Kabam and Herobeat Studios have revealed that their open-world action-adventure game, Wilderings: The Lost Spring, is set to launch its version 1.0 update in spring 2027. The announcement was made at gamescom 2026 alongside a new gameplay trailer.

The trailer offered a first look at a fiery Volcanic biome, which will feature new Hântu creatures for players to discover and utilize. These companions, known as Hântu, can assist players in combat, traversal, and overcoming environmental challenges. In the Volcanic biome, players will encounter Razzle, which uses explosive projectiles that burn and multiply; Mokul, capable of summoning scorch-inducing pyroclastic rain; and Furioso, which throws magma that spreads between enemies.

The trailer also introduced Röhe, a formidable Moth Boss. Röhe is described as a young hunter from the Frostlands who will challenge players within a "magma-lit arena." Defeating this boss will require mastery of Abi's movement, combat skills, and her Hântu abilities.

Wilderings follows the journey of Abi and her companion Rif as they navigate a world threatened by encroaching darkness. The game blends exploration with fast-paced action, roguelite progression, and creature collecting mechanics.

For attendees of gamescom 2026, Wilderings: The Lost Spring is available for play at the Indie Arena Booth in Hall 10.2, Booth F010g - E019, from August 26-30.
