A new giveaway hosted by Fanatical presents an opportunity for fans to win a substantial collection of Castlevania games. The prize includes 19 titles from the long-running series, along with two DLC packs for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, and a commemorative book.
The Castlevania series, known for its gothic atmosphere and challenging gameplay, spans decades of titles. Early entries offer a look at the series' retro roots, featuring classic monster-slaying action. Super Castlevania IV is highlighted for its iconic whip mechanics, while Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow and Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow are praised for their engaging gameplay and weapon variety. Aria of Sorrow, in particular, is noted for its well-paced design and unlockable modes.
The more modern Castlevania: Lords of Shadow subseries is also represented. Lords of Shadow and its sequel, Lords of Shadow 2, are described as character-action games in the vein of Devil May Cry, though Lords of Shadow 2 is noted to include forced stealth sections. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD is mentioned as a bridge between the classic 2D titles and the 3D hack-and-slash entries.
