Witchbrook, the cozy witch-life simulator, has been delayed once more and is now scheduled for release on January 28, 2027. This marks the latest in a series of postponements for the title, which was previously pushed back from 2025 to 2026.
The new 2027 date comes with a concrete announcement, providing players with a firm target after earlier delays. "We have poured detail and care into every pixel, to create a truly handcrafted experience. We can’t wait to open Witchbrook College’s grand doors to new students in January, and introduce you to the town and people of Mossport," developers Chucklefish and Robotality stated in a recent announcement.
They also expressed gratitude for the community's patience. "Thank you for all of your support and patience, especially within the last year, while we took the additional time to make a game we’re truly proud of. We hope you’ll enjoy immersing yourself in our magical pixel art world as much as we’ve enjoyed making it."
Witchbrook's development journey began in 2017, initially teased without a title as a potential blend of "Stardew Valley meets Harry Potter." The game underwent a significant visual overhaul in 2020, and while a release window was announced in 2025, it has since been further refined to this 2027 date. This marks the first time Witchbrook has received a specific release date.
The game will be available on Steam for $25. Physical editions are also planned, though their release details will be shared after the initial digital launch.
