The beta for World of Warcraft: Forever, Blizzard's revamped take on the original WoW Classic, has encountered substantial login queues, with many players reporting wait times exceeding an hour. Following a live Q&A session, Blizzard opened the beta servers, but the initial influx of players quickly led to lengthy queues.
While some players were able to bypass the initial wait, many experienced disconnections after successfully logging in, forcing them back into the queue. This issue has been widely reported by players and streamers alike, though a portion of the community has managed to access the beta. Blizzard acknowledged the situation on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "We're working through some final issues, and we expect the doors to open soon."
The WoW: Forever beta operates on a different server structure than previous iterations. Instead of distinct realms, players select a ruleset – normal, PvP, or Roleplay – and join a shared server environment, a design choice intended to foster the original MMO's social aspects.
Datamining efforts are already underway, with details emerging about new class talent trees and reworked armor sets. These findings offer a glimpse into the game's mechanics while players await access. The beta period is scheduled to continue until October 21, with the official launch slated for November 4.
