Blizzard has begun surveying World of Warcraft: Forever players about potential new classes, including several fan-favorite concepts. The survey, distributed via the Battle.net launcher, aims to gauge player interest in classes such as Bard, Witch, Necromancer, Rune Knight, and Illusionist, among others.
While participants were asked not to share the survey's contents publicly, details have since emerged online. The survey provides brief descriptions for each potential class, outlining their intended role, gear preferences, and example abilities. The Witch, for instance, is described as a ranged damage dealer and support class utilizing cloth armor, with abilities like a cauldron buff and a life-draining "Voidbolt."
Fan-requested classes like Bard and Tinker appear to have well-considered concepts within the survey. The Bard would support allies through songs, while the Tinker would utilize a personal mech in combat. Returning classes like Demon Hunter and Monk are also present, though the survey clarifies that Demon Hunters in WoW: Forever would begin at level one, unlike their starting level in other WoW expansions.
The inclusion of these proposed classes, particularly those with detailed outlines, suggests Blizzard is seriously considering their addition to World of Warcraft: Forever. The game is slated for release on November 4.
Some players have expressed concerns that new classes could be more powerful than existing ones, potentially disrupting the classic experience players expect from the spinoff.
