Blizzard Entertainment has offered a first look at World of Warcraft's next major expansion, titled The Last Titan, which will serve as the concluding chapter of the ongoing Worldsoul Saga. The announcement was made during BlizzCon 2026's opening ceremony, with a brief teaser hinting at the events to come.

World of Warcraft: The Last Titan is slated for release in 2027 and marks the MMO's twelfth expansion. Following the narrative developments in World of Warcraft: The War Within and the upcoming Midnight update, The Last Titan promises to bring the current story arc to a definitive close. Holly Longdale, executive producer and vice president for World of Warcraft, described the upcoming year for Warcraft as "kick-ass," setting the stage for the revelations about the expansion.

While details remain scarce to avoid spoiling the events of Midnight, game director Ion Hazzikostas indicated that the game will shift into a higher gear following the current narrative beats. A cinematic trailer shown during the ceremony depicted the antagonist Xal'atath nearing her ultimate goal. Longdale added that The Last Titan will "put the war back in Warcraft," suggesting a return to more direct conflict.

Blizzard plans to share more information about The Last Titan early next year, after the release of the Eclipse update for World of Warcraft: Midnight.
