Xbox is commemorating its 25th anniversary with a new collection of limited-edition hardware, including a translucent green Xbox Series X console and a matching wireless controller. Pre-orders for this special collection are now live. The centerpiece of the release is a 1TB Xbox Series X console, featuring a unique translucent green design that showcases internal components. This aesthetic marks a departure from the standard opaque consoles.
Alongside the console, a limited-edition Xbox wireless controller in the same translucent green finish is also available. This controller complements the console and is designed to be a collector's item for long-time fans of the Xbox brand.
The new hardware is priced at $899 for the console, with the controller sold separately. This release is part of a broader celebration of Xbox's quarter-century milestone. Further details regarding any additional anniversary-themed offerings or specific launch dates beyond the pre-order availability have not yet been disclosed, but the initial announcement highlights these premium hardware options for dedicated enthusiasts. The translucent design is described as including never-before-seen features.
