Xbox has revealed the second batch of games arriving on Game Pass in September 2026, featuring a diverse lineup of titles across various platforms. While some previously announced games like Minecraft Dungeons 2 and Dune: Awakening are confirmed, a new hack-and-slash MMO, Kernel Hearts, has emerged as a noteworthy addition.
Notable Additions
The lineup includes RuneScape: Dragonwilds, Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Planet of Lana II, Routine, Ultimate Sheep Raccoon, Kernel Hearts, Ninja Gaiden 4, Dune: Awakening, Well Dweller, Mad King Redemption, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Minecraft Dungeons II, Keeper, and Gears of War: E-Day. While Gears of War: E-Day is set for an October 6 release, most other titles will be available mid-to-late September.
Kernel Hearts, launching on September 17, is a co-op action-RPG roguelite that tasks players with ascending the Tower of Babel, defeating angelic creatures, and ultimately dethroning God to save a world consumed by ashes. The game promises extensive character customization, NPC interactions, and transformations reminiscent of magical girl anime. A demo on Steam has garnered positive reviews, with one player likening it to "roguelite Nier Automata at home."
Other significant arrivals include Minecraft Dungeons 2, the sequel to the popular Diablo-inspired mashup, which offers enhanced gear progression and a more fluid structure. Dune: Awakening, the survival crafting simulator, finally makes its console debut on September 22 after extensive PC testing.
Games Departing Game Pass
As new titles join the service, several games are scheduled to leave Xbox Game Pass at the end of September. These include Little Nightmares 2 Enhanced Edition, Sifu, and Atomfall. Players have until September 30 to experience these titles before they are removed from the library.
