Xbox Game Pass is set to lose ten titles on July 15, including the acclaimed dungeon crawler Dungeons of Hinterberg, as the subscription service grapples with disappointing subscriber growth. This exodus of games coincides with a broader internal restructuring at Xbox, which includes significant layoffs and a public acknowledgment by Xbox CEO Asha Sharma that Game Pass has "did not grow at the pace we expected."

Recent reports indicate that Xbox Game Pass has a subscriber count of 30 million. This figure falls short of the 34 million reported in February 2024 and is a considerable distance from the 77 million subscribers Xbox had initially projected for July 2026.

Among the notable departures is Dungeons of Hinterberg, which joined Game Pass upon its release in July 2024. The game blends Zelda-inspired dungeon exploration with social simulation elements, featuring protagonist Luisa, who embarks on a de-stressing vacation that turns into a monster-fighting adventure. Its combat system has been praised for its quality.

Other titles leaving Game Pass on July 15 include EA Sports FC 24, Stellaris, Golf With Your Friends, Minami Lane, Powerwash Simulator, Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, Splitgate: Arena Reloaded, Super Fantasy Kingdom (Game Preview), and Techtonica (Game Preview).

To counter these departures, Xbox is adding several new games to the service throughout July. The additions include Winds of Arcana: Ruination, Gears of War: Reloaded, Tamashika, Ascend to Zero, PBA Pro Bowling 2026, Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, Mavrix by Matt Jones, FixForce, Fogpiercer, The Planet Crafter, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2. The availability of these titles varies across Game Pass tiers and platforms, including Cloud, Console, and PC.
