Xbox may be preparing to implement a system similar to PlayStation's Platinum Trophies, rewarding players for achieving all in-game achievements. This potential new feature was reportedly spotted by a user in the Xbox Alpha Skip-Ahead Insider program, who encountered a "Mythic Achievement" filter.
When this filter was enabled, it reportedly showed only games for which the player had unlocked 100% of their achievements. This suggests that Xbox is developing a designation for fully completed games, analogous to PlayStation's Platinum Trophy, which is awarded for collecting all other trophies in a title.
Currently, Xbox players earn achievements but there is no specific reward for collecting every single achievement within a game. The discovery was made by an Insider who was browsing their achievements list and selected the filter option. The Game Completion filters reportedly included "Completed/Incomplete Mythic Achievement."
While this feature has not been officially announced by Xbox, its appearance within the Insider program indicates that the company may be testing it for a future wider release. Polygon has reached out to Xbox for confirmation regarding the existence and potential rollout of "Mythic Achievements" and will update this report if a response is received. The filter was not visible on standard Xbox Series X testing at the time of reporting.
