007 First Light Jungle Heist Walkthrough: How to Complete the Vietnam Mission

The Extended Operations DLC for 007 First Light introduces new challenges, including the Jungle Heist mission set in Vietnam. This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough to help players successfully navigate this Tactical Simulation mission.

Preparing for Jungle Heist

While the Jungle Heist can be completed without gadgets, certain items can prove beneficial. The Dart Phones and Laser Strap are recommended for creating distractions, while the Smoke Pod can aid in quick getaways. The mission features two modifiers: Power Enemies, which increases enemy strength, and Rewarding Finishers, which grants extra gadget resources for melee takedowns. The latter modifier encourages aggressive play to replenish resources.

Step 1: Track the Signal

The mission begins with the objective of tracking a distant guard's signal. The radar in the bottom left corner of the screen displays pulsing blue waves to guide Bond. Upon locating the signal, the objective will highlight the specific guard Bond needs to approach. Bond must remain in proximity to the guard to automatically hack their device until a 100% completion gauge is achieved.

The location of this initial objective is randomized, potentially appearing near a pool, outside a second-story house, or inside the house on the same floor. It can even be found near the starting area. If the signal appears in a difficult-to-reach location, such as near the pool where hiding spots are scarce, restarting the mission can reroll the objective's placement.

Step 2: Hack Target's Phone for Safe Code

After successfully hacking the initial target and evading detection, Bond will obtain the safe code. The entry point to the house involves sneaking from the starting bushes to a rocky ledge, then shimmying along a glass railing to avoid outdoor cameras. The safe code itself is randomized for each playthrough, requiring players to find it anew each time.

Step 3: Steal Documents from the Safe

The safe's location is also randomized but will always be found within the house, either on the first or second floor. The objective marker will clearly indicate its position. Players should stealthily neutralize any nearby guards before opening the safe and retrieving the documents.

Step 4: Lockdown / Obtain Keycard / Lift Lockdown

Immediately after securing the documents, an alarm will sound, and guards will be alerted. Bond must then acquire a Keycard from one of the guards to lift the lockdown. The objective marker will identify the specific guard carrying the card, though it appears to be carried by guards within the house. Once the Keycard is obtained, players can lift the lockdown by interacting with one of the several shutter controller panels located throughout the house.

Step 5: Escape

The final objective is to escape, with the exit consistently located on the roof. This is the most challenging part, as guards will be on high alert. The most direct route to the roof involves proceeding to the second floor, turning back towards the bar area, and locating a large door, followed by another door to the left leading outside. A stairway immediately to the right of this exit leads to the roof.

Players must carefully navigate past guards on the stairs and on the roof. Waiting for opportune moments to take down guards stealthily is advised. Crouching and utilizing cover, such as the bushes along a long ventilation pipe, can help reach the escape point in the center of the roof. Interacting with the laptop at the escape point completes the mission. If detected, Bond can engage in combat, but the escape button cannot be used while hostiles are alerted, necessitating the neutralization of nearby threats.
