The initial phase of Arc Raiders' Sheltered Retreat project, which involves building your outpost, requires players to photograph a farmland house located near the Ruined Homestead on The Blue Gate map. This structure is situated in the southern part of the region, adjacent to the Olive Grove.
Acquiring a Camera
Previously, interacting with structures was sufficient for capturing quest-related photographs. However, the game now mandates the use of an uncommon camera item. Players can obtain a camera through several methods:
- Purchasing one from Shani for 1,900 credits.
- Crafting one at a basic workbench, requiring 8 Plastic Parts and 1 Wire.
- Receiving one as a reward from certain quests, such as the "Sizing Things Up" mission, upon acceptance.
It is advisable to store the camera in your safe pocket to prevent accidental loss until it is needed for a quest objective. This also means that free loadouts cannot be used to complete photography-related quests.
Locating and Photographing the Homestead
Once you have a camera, travel to the Ruined Homestead. Equip the camera, aim using the right mouse button, and then capture the photograph with the left mouse button. Any of the primary farm buildings within the vicinity of the homestead should suffice to complete this objective. The Ruined Homestead can be found in the southern Blue Gate area, near the Olive Grove.
