To progress the Sheltered Retreat project in Arc Raiders, players will need to acquire planks and sheet metal. These resources are crucial for the second stage of construction, following the completion of the Ruined Homestead photography objective.
Acquiring Planks and Sheet Metal
The most straightforward method to obtain both planks and sheet metal is by purchasing them from the vendor Celeste. Each item costs three seeds. Alternatively, players can scavenge for these materials within the game world.
Planks are frequently found in residential areas and locations described as 'old world.' The houses in Old Town, situated in the southwest region of Pendola Pass, are particularly good sources, often yielding planks alongside research items and furniture blueprints.
Sheet metal is most commonly discovered in technological and industrial zones. Areas like the Assembly and Loading Bay in Stella Montis are noted locations. Yellow drawer containers within these zones appear to consistently drop sheet metal.
While less frequent, planks and sheet metal can also be found in other areas of the map. Given the relatively small quantities required for the Sheltered Retreat project, purchasing the necessary materials from Celeste for a total of 24 seeds may be the most time-efficient approach.
