In Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, a variety of rare and legendary trinkets, as well as unique outfits, can be acquired by collecting and restoring fragmented treasure maps. These fragments are categorized into five types: weathered, yellowed, preserved, tattered, and digested. Restoring these maps requires the assistance of the Treasure Dealer, who becomes available in Great Inagua after completing the "This Old Cove" main quest. Players must pay him 5,000 reales to unlock his services, after which he can restore the maps for varying costs in resources and currency.
Restoring Weathered Map Pieces
Restoring a weathered map costs 150 spice and 500 reales, and leads to treasure at coordinates (914, 124). Players can find five weathered map pieces by looting special treasure chests within smugglers' dens, such as Anotto Bay and Ambergris Key. These chests are typically marked with a cave symbol. The sixth and final weathered map piece must be purchased directly from the Treasure Dealer for 200 spice. The restored weathered treasure map directs players to Mystery Island, where the treasure lies buried east of the viewpoint and below a tree trunk.

Acquiring Yellowed Map Pieces
Yellowed map pieces, costing 100 aloe and 500 reales to restore, are found at treasure coordinates (915, 617). A total of 10 yellowed map pieces are required and are primarily obtained by completing trade missions with Kenway's fleet that specifically require schooners. Other fleet mission types do not yield these map pieces. The drop rate for yellowed map pieces is low, and players are advised to unlock all five fleet regions, equip five schooners, and utilize a save-scumming technique to expedite acquisition. The restored yellowed treasure map leads to Black Island in northeast Gibara, with the treasure buried on the beach north of the viewpoint, behind a shipwreck.

Finding Preserved Map Pieces
Restoring preserved map pieces costs 150 tobacco and 500 reales, with the treasure located at (14, 554). Four preserved map pieces can be found by looting warehouses. However, a piece is only awarded if the warehouse's unique first-time clearance reward has not yet been claimed. Returning to a warehouse after its two-hour cooldown period offers a chance to obtain a preserved map piece. The restored preserved treasure map points to Sacrifice Island, where the treasure is located in the northwest corner under an arched rock.

Obtaining Tattered Map Pieces
Three tattered map pieces are needed to restore this map, which costs 200 sugar and 500 reales, with the treasure at (381, 803). These pieces are found in captain's lootboxes aboard pirate hunter ships, recognizable by their red sails. To encounter these ships, players must raise their "wanted" level to tier four. Only the largest pirate hunter vessels, frigates and man-of-war, contain the necessary lootbox. After engaging in a naval battle, players must board the ship and deplete the crew's morale to access the captain's lootbox. The restored tattered treasure map leads to Florida in Dry Tortuga, where the treasure is buried in front of a skeleton. An indication of the required "wanted" level is shown.

Locating Digested Map Pieces
The digested map pieces, required for a restoration costing 200 rum barrels and 500 reales, are found at coordinates (188, 215). Two digested map pieces are collected by skinning white jaguars on Great Inagua. Players can find these jaguars by heading south from the docks into the jungle, following a path to an abandoned settlement, and then turning east onto a wooden ledge. Since only one white jaguar appears at a time, players may need to fast-travel and wait for it to respawn. The restored digested treasure map leads to Santanillas in Chinchorro, with the treasure located inside a Maya temple's eastern part, on the ground floor.

These restored maps yield valuable rewards, including the Persian scimitars and gargoyle's breath pistols for the weathered map, Obsidian sails and "The Wellerman" shanty for the yellowed map, the Shade and Shadow Robes outfit and Wooden Eyeball trinket for the preserved map, and elite ship components for the tattered map. The digested map leads to the Hunter outfit and Hunter's Amulet trinket.
Beyond these map-specific rewards, a total of 33 trinkets can be found throughout Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, offering various gameplay benefits. These include stat boosts, combat advantages, and resource enhancements. Trinkets can be acquired through treasure chests, quest rewards, and purchases from general stores and the Treasure Dealer. For instance, the Hunter's Amulet, which reduces animal detection range, is obtained by restoring the digested treasure map. Similarly, the Wooden Eyeball, which instantly kills brutes, is a reward for restoring the preserved map. Other notable trinkets include the Anchor Medallion for increased floating loot rewards and the Bloody Spanish Medal for reduced damage from Spanish soldiers. Some trinkets, like the Guardian Beast Trinket, require completing local events and subsequent treasure hunts. Many trinkets are also awarded for completing specific side quests, local events, or a percentage of game activities like assassin contracts.
