To fully appreciate Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, players can seek out various collectibles, including sea shanties that allow the crew of the Jackdaw to sing a variety of tunes, and Mayan stones, which are key to unlocking the Mayan Armor.
Sea Shanties
Sea shanties, also referred to as song sheets, are a primary collectible in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. Each found song sheet adds a new shanty to the crew's repertoire. The first 10 shanties are unlocked by default, but the remaining ones are scattered across the game's map. Shanty locations are indicated by a musical note icon on the map. When approaching the collectible, the song sheet appears as a white, glowing object that will float away, requiring players to chase and grab it before it disappears. If missed, the shanty will respawn in its original location.
Most shanties are found within major towns like Havana, Nassau, and Kingston, with others located on smaller islands. In Havana, seven shanties can be found, with an additional one located in a settlement west of the city at Cape Bonavista. Nassau, the largest town in Eleuthera, contains five shanties. Kingston, situated in the southeastern part of the map on Navassa, holds six shanties, all located within the town center. Great Inagua, Edward's pirate settlement in the southeast of Gibara, features two shanties. Two more shanties are available in the northern half of the map: one on Salt Key Bank, east of Havana, and another on Cat Island, southeast of Nassau. The final two shanty locations are found near Castillo de Jagua in the southwest, with one in Arroyos and the other on Grand Cayman.
Mayan Stones
Mayan stones are another significant collectible in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, essential for acquiring the Mayan Armor. There are 16 Mayan stelae ruins throughout the game, each containing a Mayan stone. These puzzles are part of the "Mayan Mysteries" quest, which begins in Tulum after completing the "Overrun and Outnumbered" main quest. After collecting all 16 Mayan stones, players can return to Tulum to claim the Mayan Outfit. The first Mayan stone is obtained during the "This Old Cove" quest, with the remaining 15 requiring individual discovery.
Mayan stelae are ancient Mayan ruins that house hidden Mayan stones. Their locations are marked on the map with a dedicated icon once a viewpoint is unlocked. To solve a Mayan stela puzzle, players must climb to the top of the highest pillar and interact with the puzzle. The objective is to align a white figure with the highlighted ruins by moving and rotating it until each piece fits within the designated circles.
The first 12 Mayan stone locations are detailed across various parts of the map, including Cape Bonavista, Matanzas, Cat Island, Tortuga, New Bone, Misteriosa (with two locations), Santanillas, Pinos Isle (with two locations), Sacrifice Island, and Tulum. Players are advised that the Cape Bonavista stone cannot be collected during the prologue and requires the Mayan stones quest to be active. Some locations, like Misteriosa and Grand Cayman, may have guards present, necessitating caution.
