Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced offers a variety of outfits for players to collect, providing purely cosmetic changes to Edward Kenway's appearance. These outfits range from legendary to common rarity and can be acquired through exploration, quest completion, or purchases from in-game merchants.
Outfits Found Through Exploration
Several outfits can be discovered by exploring the game world. Some are found in chests at specific coordinates, while others require navigating underwater locations or using treasure maps. For instance, Altair Ibn-La'Ahad's Robes, Captain Drake's Outfit, Captain Morgan's Redingote, Ezio Auditore's Robes, and Stede Bonnet's Attire are legendary outfits found in specific chests. The Crimson Cloak requires looting a warehouse in Havana for a map leading to a buried treasure in Anotto Bay. The Governor's Outfit is similarly obtained via a treasure map found in a Nassau warehouse, leading to a buried cache on Isla Providencia. The Hunter Outfit involves skinning animals to acquire map pieces, restoring them with a Treasure Dealer, and then locating a chest within an eastern Mayan temple on Santanillas. The Officer's Outfit is located in a chest on Principe, accessible via the docks on the smaller, separate island. The Pirate Captain Outfit requires finding a treasure map in Corozal and then digging up the treasure on Ambergris Key. Finally, the Shade and Shadow Robes are found after collecting four preserved map pieces, restoring them at the Treasure Dealer in Great Inagua, and digging near an arched rock on Sacrifice Island.
Outfits Rewarded by Quests and Activities
Other outfits are tied to specific quests, side missions, and in-game achievements. The Dark Animus Corsair Robes are awarded as the final "Eye in the Dark" animus reward. Duncan Walpole's Robes and Edward Kenway's Robes are obtained early in the game during the prologue and the "The Treasure Fleet" main quest, respectively. The Edward the Legend Outfit is unlocked after completing "Former Glories" in Great Inagua, a side mission that becomes available after restoring all buildings on the island. The Foreign Diplomat Disguise is acquired during the main quest "A Governor No Longer." The Haytham Kenway's Overcoat is a secret reward for finding all 11 in-game portraits and hanging them in the manor. Completing the "Art Lover" side quest in Great Inagua by collecting 30 art pieces grants the Master Assassin Outfit. The Mayan Outfit is earned by finishing the "Mayan Mysteries" side quest in Tulum and collecting all Mayan stones. The Stealth Outfit is awarded for completing approximately half of the game's assassin's contracts, around 15 missions. Lastly, the Templar Armor is obtained by completing the "Damn Fine Gear" side quest, which involves undertaking all templar hunts and opening a gate at the Great Inagua manor.
Outfits Available from Merchants
A selection of outfits can be purchased from the General Store and the Treasure Dealer. These outfits require in-game currency (reales) and, in some cases, specific animal skins. To access all these outfits, players must upgrade the General Store and unlock the Treasure Dealer in Great Inagua. The Feline Pelt Outfit, Shark-Hunter Outfit, and Whaler Outfit are available from the Treasure Dealer, requiring various shark bones, shark skins, and whale skins. The Merchant Outfit, Politician's Outfit, and Privateer Outfit are found at the General Store, with the Merchant and Privateer outfits requiring General Store tier 2 upgrades. The Pirate Cloak is available from a tier 1 General Store.
Downloadable Content Outfits
Some outfits are exclusively available as downloadable content, requiring separate purchases in addition to the base game. These include the Dragonscale Armor, Hellion Armor, Master Assassin Robes (also part of the Deluxe Edition), Stormfury Shroud. The Nomad's Bronze Ensemble is an exception, available for free in the in-game store.
