The pirate's life in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced still involves the thrill of hunting for buried treasure, a popular side activity that returns with changes in the updated version of the game. Major islands have seen their geography altered, and the clues leading to these hidden riches have also been shifted, offering a fresh challenge even for those familiar with the original title.
To unearth any buried treasure, players must first acquire the corresponding treasure map. Each map offers a clue to a specific location where a chest can be found. These chests typically contain a sum of Reales along with either an Ultimate Ship Plan upgrade, a Design Plan, or art for the Great Inagua collection, making the treasure hunts a rewarding diversion from the game's main objectives.
There are 22 treasure maps to discover throughout Black Flag Resynced. While many align with their original placements, some, like the Anotto Bay to Principe map, have been replaced by new quests, such as Blackbeard's Treasure. Cape Bonavista
Map Location: (160,580) Inside a cave situated in the south of Cape Bonavista, Dry Tortuga, adjacent to a Mayan stone. Players can reach this by ascending into the mountains from the northernmost synchronization point. Treasure Location: (146,587) Found within a cave on the southern beach of Cape Bonavista, Dry Tortuga, near the starting area. From the southern synchronization point, descend to the beach and turn right.
Havana
Map Location: (218,571) Located on a skeleton within a dry riverbed near the church and General Store in southeastern Havana. Treasure Location: (213,564) Situated near a collapsed palm tree at the base of Havana's southwestern wall, not far from shops and a pirate encampment on the beach.
Salt Lagoon
Map Location: (581,804) On a skeleton slumped against a palm tree on the south side of Abaco Island, Eleuthera. This is an early destination with Adewale after acquiring the Jackdaw. Treasure Location: (719,607) At the base of a large rock beside an old camp on the northwest beach of Salt Lagoon in northern Gibara.
New Bone
Map Location: (722,607) On a skeleton found on the northeastern edge of Salt Lagoon in northern Gibara. Treasure Location: (407,94) Adjacent to palm trees on a small island north of New Bone, southwest Serranilla. It is located to the right upon entering the docks, with a windmill visible on the hill ahead.
Abaco Island
Map Location: (543,694) On the southern beach of Andreas Island, southeast Eleuthera, where Kidd is met for the Sugarcane and its Yields main quest. Treasure Location: (586,811) Next to a rock and palm tree near a shipwreck in the northeast of Abaco Island, Eleuthera.
Andreas Island
Map Location: (848,514) Found next to a chest within a cave at the center of Mariguana Island, central Gibara. Treasure Location: (544,693) On a small island just off the coast at the far south of Andreas Island, southeast Eleuthera, where Kidd is met for the Sugarcane and its Yields main quest.
Nassau
Map Location: (813,447) Within a cave overlooking the docks at Great Inagua, Gibara, accessible after clearing it during the main story mission 'This Old Cove.' Climb trees up the hill to the southeast to reach it. Treasure Location: (586,755) Near a collapsed tree in the swamp behind the white manor house synchronization point in southwest Nassau, Eleuthera.
Isla Providencia
Map Location: (594,750) Loot the warehouse located in the south of Nassau, Eleuthera. Treasure Location: (487,11) This treasure requires progression in the main story until the 'Marooned' quest unlocks this island in southeast Serranilla. Once accessible, the treasure is on the southern beach. Head south from the synchronization point towards three palm trees by boat wrecks; the treasure is at their center.
Anotto Bay
Map Location: (205,600) Loot the warehouse in the northwest of Havana, Dry Tortuga. Treasure Location: (590,245) In Anotto Bay, northeast Charlotte, directly beneath a group of pirates conversing, after swimming through mine shafts to reach their den.
Kingston
Map Location: (272,175) Within the ramparts leading to the synchronization point in the north of Misteriosa, Serranilla, near a Mayan Stele. Treasure Location: (631,152) On the far south beach of the town, in front of barrels situated between two halves of a shipwreck.
San Juan
Map Location: (191,218) Climb trees to reach the hill on the eastern edge of Santanillas, Chinchorro, near a Mayan stele. Treasure Location: (455,462) Next to shovels where pirates are first encountered in San Juan, a smuggler's cove in Cruz. Entry requires diving past jellyfish into an undersea cave leading to an enemy camp. The chest is located near the first two pirates before descending further into the camp.
Petite Caverne
Map Location: (298,311) Next to barrels on the northwest beach of Cayman Sound in southern Castillo de Jagua. Treasure Location: (863,235) Past a locked smuggler's chest in the back left corner of Petite Caverne, behind rocks near a waterfall. A campsite is nearby.
Pinos Isle
Map Location: (648,345) Near a leaning palm tree on the southern coast of Cumberland Bay, western Punda Guarico, close to an old campsite. Treasure Location: (304,455) On the ground to the right of the synchronization point ruins, when facing them, in the northwest of the island.
Matanzas
Map Location: (851,352) By a campfire on the northeastern coast of Tortuga in northern Punta Guardico. Treasure Location: (312,617) Behind a large waterfall next to a Mayan Stele in the southeast, not far from a warehouse.
Tulum
Map Location: (862,237) At the very back of Petite Caverne in southern Punta Guarico. Treasure Location: (40,372) By palm trees and rocks past a shipwreck in the far south of Tulum, southern Conttoyor.
Jiquey
Map Location: (812,114) To the right of the dock and harbor master at Île à Vache in central Navassa. Treasure Location: (534,510) Next to a palm tree, overturned boat, and tent on the right side of the beach inside Jiquey smuggler's cove.
Cumberland Bay
Map Location: (605,156) Raid the southernmost warehouse by the docks in Kingston, northern Navassa. Treasure Location: (645,355) Next to a rowboat in the far north of Cumberland Bay, west Punta Guarico, adjacent to a shipwreck past the synchronization point.
Principe
Map Location: (605,132) In the graveyard in the east of Port Royal, the prison and fort opposite Kingston in northern Navassa. Treasure Location: (113,11) Access to this island requires main story progression. The treasure is on the eastern beach where a ship is docked. Head to the southernmost point of the beach, southwest of the pier, to find the treasure by a palm tree.
Cayman Sound
Map Location: (307,455) Near ruins to the north of Pinos Isle. Treasure Location: (304,310) Next to palm trees and a tree trunk on the northeast beach of Cayman Sound in southern Castillo de Jagua, just to the right of the Opía Apito Templar Hunt mission.
Ambergris Key
Map Location: (31,230) Next to a campfire on the northeastern beach of Corozal, western Chinchorro. Treasure Location: (30,157) In Ambergris Key, southern Chinchorro, within a nook to the left after swimming through a cave and emerging into ruins, before ascending a large staircase with pirates.
Misteriosa
Map Location: (28,160) Above a locked smuggler's chest at Ambergris Key, southern Chinchorro. Treasure Location: (271,178) In thick grass to the left of a fountain and pond behind the synchronization point in the north of Misteriosa, central Serranilla.
Long Bay
Map Location: (483,19) From the beach fast travel point where the Jackdaw arrives at Isla Providencia, Serranilla, head south along the sand and up a rising trail to find the corpse with the map at its end. Treasure Location: (503,230) Located by the beach in the east of Long Bay. From the synchronization point, head west to three huts; the treasure spot is a short distance south of them.
