For those opting to hunt, there are two specific harpooning locations for hammerhead sharks within the Eleuthera region, situated in the northeastern part of the game's map. For players early in the game, Nassau serves as the closest fast travel point to these hunting grounds.
The first harpooning spot is found on the northern side of Eleuthera, northeast of Nassau, at coordinates (705, 868). The second location is on the southeastern side of the same island area, east of Nassau, at coordinates (776, 735).
While hammerhead sharks are less formidable than other sea creatures in the game, meaning extensive upgrades to the Jackdaw's harpoon are not essential, the hunting method has limitations. Only one shark can be harpooned per spot, and these spots have a considerable respawn time. This respawn delay can prevent players from efficiently farming the material through repeated hunts.
Consequently, purchasing hammerhead shark bones becomes a viable alternative. This option becomes available after players have unlocked their hideout in Great Inagua and acquired the General Store I upgrade. Once this upgrade is in place, players can purchase hammerhead shark bones from any General Store.
