Treasure maps in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced are a key to acquiring not only substantial amounts of reales but also crucial ship upgrades that can significantly enhance your vessel's combat capabilities and overall performance. Many of these buried treasures contain plans for ultimate ship upgrades, making the hunt for these secrets a worthwhile endeavor for any aspiring pirate captain.
Treasure maps are classified as 'secrets' within the game. When exploring areas with undiscovered secrets, you may find a treasure map. Unlocking at least one viewpoint in such a location will reveal the treasure map icon on your in-game map. These maps are consistently found on pirate skeletons, so players should remain vigilant while exploring the game's many islands and settlements.
To keep track of your findings, collected treasure maps can be viewed in the 'treasure maps' tab within your inventory's bag. It is important to note that most treasure maps lead to treasures buried on islands different from where the map was found, necessitating inter-island travel.
Havana
Treasure Map Location: At the bottom of the canal in the southeast part of Havana. Treasure Location: On the beach in southern Havana, directly in front of the barbican. Dig among the rocks at the base of the final tower. Reward: The Queen Anne's figurehead design plan and 3,000 reales.
Cape Bonavista
Treasure Map Location: In a dripstone cave on the south beach of Cape Bonavista, inland and to the left from the water's edge. This map requires progression through the main story to access. Treasure Location: Inside a dripstone cave on the south beach of Cape Bonavista, at the end of the tunnel. Reward: 1,500 reales.
Abaco Island Map / Salt Lagoon Treasure
Treasure Map Location: On the southwest beach of Abaco Island. Treasure Location: On a small island called Salt Lagoon, on the south side of a large rock in the northeast corner. Reward: Serpent figurehead design plan and 3,000 reales.
Andreas Island Map / Abaco Island Treasure
Treasure Map Location: On the southwest beach of Andreas Island. Treasure Location: On the northeast shore of Abaco Island, near a small shipwreck. Dig in the nearest grassy area. Reward: Earth monster relief and 2,500 reales.
Salt Lagoon Map / New Bone Treasure
Treasure Map Location: On the northeast beach of Salt Lagoon. Treasure Location: On the tiny island in the north of New Bone, behind the dinghy. Reward: Maize deity and 2,500 reales.
Mariguana Island Map / Andreas Island Treasure
Treasure Map Location: In a cave system on Mariguana Island, accessible by walking southwest from the dock and passing through a tunnel behind flowery vines. Treasure Location: On a tiny island on the south side of Andreas Island, between two palm trees. Reward: Harpoon strength ultimate plan and 3,000 reales.
Great Inagua Map / Nassau Treasure
Treasure Map Location: Inside a cave on the cliffs west of the Great Inagua docks, accessible via a parkour trail that begins near coordinates (813, 444). Treasure Location: In Nassau, beneath an overhanging rock southwest of the westernmost viewpoint (large mansion). Reward: Elite sails design plan and 3,000 reales.
Tortuga Map / Matanzas Treasure
Treasure Map Location: On the northeast beach of Tortuga, between a slanted palm tree and a rowboat. Treasure Location: Behind a waterfall on the beach of Matanzas, east of Havana. Access it by sticking to the left past soldiers and then going right from the beach with the rowboat. Reward: Mortar storage ultimate plan and 3,000 reales.
Petite Caverne Map / Tulum Treasure
Treasure Map Location: In the southwest corner of Petite Caverne, behind a blue chest. Treasure Location: On the southernmost beach of Tulum, south of the watchtower and before a palm tree. Reward: Fire barrel storage ultimate plan and 3,000 reales.
Île à Vache Map / Jiguey Treasure
Treasure Map Location: Between rocks on the northeast shore of Île à Vache. Treasure Location: In Jiguey, in a large chamber within a tunnel system, buried in the sand next to a wrecked dinghy and a palm tree. Reward: Baroque guitar and 2,500 reales.
Cumberland Bay Map / Pinos Isle Treasure
Treasure Map Location: On a small sandbank on the south side of Cumberland Bay's main island, near a rowboat. Treasure Location: Directly northeast of the great Mayan temple with a viewpoint on Pinos Isle. Reward: Ivory wheel design plan and 3,000 reales.
Pinos Isle Map / Cayman Sound Treasure
Treasure Map Location: Next to a large, broken pillar in the heavily guarded northern fortress of Pinos Isle, east of the viewpoint. Treasure Location: In a small clearing between palm trees on the northeast corner of Cayman Sound, the island directly south of Pinos Isle. Reward: 4,000 reales.
Cayman Sound Map / Petit Caverne Treasure
Treasure Map Location: On the northwest beach of Cayman Sound, next to an old crate and barrel. Treasure Location: In a small clearing to the right of a large dripstone structure, after exiting the southwest part of the cave chamber with boats inside Petite Caverne. Reward: Heavy shot ultimate plan and 3,000 reales.
Misteriosa Map / Kingston Treasure
Treasure Map Location: On a ledge halfway up the large Mayan temple on the south side of Misteriosa. Treasure Location: On a beach in the southeast corner of Kingston, buried behind a broken dinghy and before two barrels. Reward: Gilded hull design plan and 3,000 reales.
