The Citadel and Chang-san Air Base
The Citadel, located within the northwestern Chang-san Air Base, presents a mix of critical and extreme threat levels but offers significant loot opportunities. A specific route within this POI can yield high-end items with minimal enemy resistance. Accessing the area via the story mission "Operation Iron Citadel" can expedite the process by providing a starting spawn point near the objective. Players should look for a broken wall along the outer air base perimeter to vault over. Stealth is advised, utilizing suppressed weapons or throwing knives to neutralize guards quietly. Within the Citadel, three identical barrack-style buildings, two of which are not primary mission objectives, are prime locations for finding decent armor vests, high-value printer resources, keys, and potentially weapon manuals in soldiers' lockers and duffle bags.
NurigoGO Mall (East)
The NurigoGO Mall complex offers numerous looting possibilities. The eastern section, designated NurigoGO East, presents a lower threat level (medium) compared to other areas. Here, players can find guns at the police station, medical supplies at the clinic, and various printer recipes. Weapon manuals can also spawn randomly in this area. Exploration of subterranean sections requires night vision goggles due to the lack of electricity.
Cheonwang Peak Array
Cheonwang Peak Array is a smaller POI but provides excellent loot in the map's central region. With a medium threat level, it's more manageable than heavily guarded military sites or the city's Grid location. Looting all rooms is recommended, whether solo or in a team. Three safes within the area can contain gold bars, keys, valuable printer resources, and weapon manuals. Other buildings may also yield high-end loot. Be aware that the minigun-wielding commander, the Colossus, can potentially spawn here.
Haneul Nuclear Reactor
This high-risk, high-reward POI is a heavily guarded, damaged nuclear power plant. It's a source of weapon manuals, high-value keys, and rare resources like Power Regulators. Players should equip gas masks and radiation blockers, as radioactive vapor is present. Killing NPC soldiers can yield additional gas masks. While yellow zones degrade gas mask durability slowly, red zones degrade them quickly. Radiation blockers are most effective in yellow zones, and stacking gas masks is advisable for extended exploration near the reactor. Suppressed weapons can help manage NPC encounters, and rare hazmat suits found in small rooms or hallways within the nuclear stacks offer temporary full radiation protection.
The Train
While not a primary POI, the moving train on Hajin offers a significant number of loot containers. Players can find ammo, printer resources, and potential weapon manuals by thoroughly scavenging all its cars. It is easy to overlook smaller containers situated on and between seats.
Military Compounds
Scattered military compounds across the map are generally low-risk areas offering decent, though not always high-tier, rewards. These locations can provide weapons, armored vests, printer resources, keys, and potentially weapon manuals. Clearing these compounds also completes Side Ops missions for cash and experience, allowing for further scavenging.
