Secret hideouts in Control Resonant serve as hidden bases for a clandestine organization, offering lore collectibles and valuable health upgrade points. Finding all six of these locations will also reward players with the "Backroom Espionage" achievement. Each hideout requires solving a unique puzzle to gain access.
Downtown Secret Hideout
The hideout in Downtown is located within the Atlantis Cafe, found northwest of the Oldest House. To solve its puzzle, first activate the power via the electrical box. Then, interact with the appliances in order from smallest to largest. The correct sequence is: Radio, the coffee maker on the right of the refrigerator, the coffee maker to the left of the refrigerator, the soda dispenser, the microwave, and finally, the refrigerator.
Central Secret Hideout
In the Central area, seek out the Wear'Em & Wash'Em laundromat in the southeast corner of the eastern region. A Hiss barrier initially blocks the entrance. To clear it, follow the red trails emanating from the barrier to three Hiss nodes, which appear as piles of traffic cones and trash cans, and destroy them. Once the nodes are gone, the door will open. The puzzle involves interacting with washing machines based on a binary code found on a cork board. Ones indicate the machine should be on, and zeroes indicate it should be off. The first row of seven digits corresponds to the first seven washing machines. The last two rows are found on the opposite wall, with the left side representing the sixth row and the right side the seventh.
West Incursion Zone Secret Hideout
This hideout is situated inside an Urban Fresh Mart in the southeastern part of the West Incursion Zone. Accessing this area requires the Shift traversal ability, obtained from the Incursion Fault in the Parking Garage. Inside the mart, you must "reverse the drink order." Interact with the soda dispenser to observe the blinking lights, which indicate a sequence of flashes: three, then one, then two, then one. At the cash register, input this sequence in reverse order: 1-2-1-3.
Evacuation Zone Secret Hideout
Within the Evacuation Zone, the secret hideout is housed in a Könstig Art Gallery, located southeast of the "Main Street" fast travel point. The puzzle requires directing spotlights onto specific art pieces. Identify the artworks corresponding to the words: journey, windows, thunder, and tides. Moving clockwise around the room, starting with the trio of artworks left of the front desk, the correct choices are: the middle piece, then the left piece, followed by another left piece, and finally the middle piece.
The Park Secret Hideout
The hideout in The Park is also located within an Atlantis Cafe, situated in the southeast corner of the zone. To solve the puzzle, you need to record the orders from tables 1, 5, 4, and 2. Using the provided menu, find the corresponding letter for each order: Table 1's Iced Coffee is 'B', Table 5's The Spiciest Chai is 'D', Table 4's Espresso is 'A', and Table 2's Caramel Latte is 'C'. Input the sequence B-D-A-C into the cash register.
Unknown Secret Hideout
In the Unknown zone, the secret hideout is found inside a Pulse Fitness gym located on the central island. Reaching the gym can be challenging due to the zone's disorienting layout. From the Oldest House taxi platform, use Reach to access the upside-down portion of the Unknown. Navigate towards the center to an intersection of chasms, then follow the sidewalk northeast. The gym will be on the lowest section.
