To maximize your effectiveness in Control Resonant, players will want to locate all available Health and Power upgrade points. Health upgrade points directly increase your maximum health, allowing you to withstand more damage, while Power upgrade points increase your maximum power, enabling more frequent use of combat abilities.
Both types of upgrade points are primarily found within large resource crates, often disguised as ice cream stands or concrete block structures. Some are also rewarded from arcade machines after achieving a high score, or uncovered by solving environmental puzzles.
Downtown Health and Power Upgrade Points
In the Downtown area, five Health upgrade points are scattered across various locations. Four of these can be accessed without special traversal abilities, but one requires the 'Reach' ability from the Evacuation Zone. For Power upgrade points, players can find four in Downtown. Two are readily accessible, while the other two require the 'Reach' ability. One Power upgrade point is also tied to an arcade machine challenge that requires Zone Level 8.
Central Health and Power Upgrade Points
Central offers six Health upgrade points, with one requiring progression in the main story quest "Power Lines." Similarly, Central has five Power upgrade points, two of which can be obtained after progressing through the "Contain the Crisis" main story line and reaching Zone Level 4.
West Incursion Zone Health and Power Upgrade Points
The West Incursion Zone contains four Health upgrade points and four Power upgrade points. Most of these will require the 'Shift' traversal ability, which is unlocked in the Parking Garage fault. The Power upgrade point from the Atlantis Cafe arcade machine requires Zone Level 3.
Evacuation Zone Health and Power Upgrade Points
Players can find four Health upgrade points and four Power upgrade points within the Evacuation Zone. Some of these, particularly the Power upgrade points, become accessible after progressing through main story quests such as "Evacuation Procedures" and "Recursions and Iterations." The Evacuation Zone arcade machine requires Zone Level 6 and a level 2 security keycard.
The Park Health and Power Upgrade Points
In The Park, three Health upgrade points and two Power upgrade points are available. One Health upgrade point is located on the path to a resonant. The Park's Power upgrade point arcade machine requires Zone Level 4.
Underpass Health and Power Upgrade Points
The Underpass zone holds two Health upgrade points, one found near a vendor and another at the bottom of a sinkhole. For Power upgrade points, one is found across a chasm, accessible via a cable car during the "Recursion and Iterations" main story quest.
It is important to note that some locations and upgrade points may require specific traversal abilities or progression through the main story to access.
