After an introduction from a blocky professor, players are presented with three distinct starter creatures: Leafbu, Blazpu, and Bubble. Evomon Starters Ranked
While all three starters are viable, our ranking prioritizes those that offer the most advantage in the initial stages of the game.
1. Leafbu
Leafbu, the Grass-type starter, stands out as the top choice. Its elemental advantage is crucial for navigating the early game's environments. The first two worlds, Verdant Valley and Petal Pond, are populated with Rock-type and Water-type Evomon, respectively. Leafbu's Grass typing provides a significant advantage against both, allowing for easy victories, especially once it learns Leaf Blade. By the time you reach Lava Crag, which features Fire-type Evomon, you should have had the opportunity to recruit a Water-type like Clampip, mitigating Leafbu's weakness to fire.
2. Bubble
In second place is Bubble, the Water-type starter. Despite its appearance, Bubble is a strong contender due to its effectiveness against the Rock-type Evomon encountered early on. Its Water typing allows it to resist Water-based attacks, making it a durable choice for the Petal Pond area. Bubble's Ram attack can also deal significant damage. While Bubble may not be the primary damage dealer in Petal Pond and might be overshadowed by recruited Water-types later, its early game utility and resilience make it a solid second option.
3. Blazpu
Blazpu, the Fire-type starter, is ranked last among the initial choices. While it can be effective against the Grass-type Budlings in Verdant Valley, it struggles against the Rock-type boss in that same area. Its usefulness is further diminished in Petal Pond, which is dominated by Water-type Evomon. Blazpu's Fire abilities only become truly advantageous in later areas like Amber Acres, and by that point, players will likely have already encountered and recruited Fire-type Evomon in Lava Crag. Nevertheless, Blazpu can still serve a purpose if players wish to level it up rather than recruit and train a separate Fire-type for specific encounters.
