Final Fantasy Resonance: All Visions and How to Unlock Them

Visions in Final Fantasy Resonance represent the materialized memories of heroes from various worlds, including both familiar Final Fantasy characters and original creations. Acquiring and equipping these Visions is essential for tailoring character builds and enhancing their abilities. Each Vision is associated with one of five distinct roles: sentinel, commando, breaker, saboteur, and medic. These roles dictate the Vision's skill sets and optimal character pairings. A character can equip only one Vision at a time, and these can be switched outside of combat.

Visions do not have independent turns in battles. Their skills are accessed through a dedicated tab in the battle menu. To upgrade these skills, players must use one of three types of magicite: shards, magicite, or crysts.

Beyond their active combat skills, Visions also provide passive 'mastery bonuses.' These bonuses become permanently available for a character to equip, even when a different Vision is actively equipped. To unlock mastery bonuses, players need to earn mastery points by winning battles with the Vision equipped, which increases its Mastery Rank. Each mastery bonus skill has an ability point cost to equip, and Mastery Ranks are not shared across characters, necessitating the repeated use of Visions with different party members.

Unlocking Visions

Visions are primarily obtained by finding their designated sanctums or by completing specific side quests. While these methods are generally straightforward, most Visions are gated by story progression, with certain side quests becoming accessible only after reaching specific chapters. The exception is Sephiroth, who must be defeated in battle to be obtained as a Vision.
