Adamantite is a crucial item in Final Fantasy Resonance, primarily used for crafting some of the game's most potent weapons. While the game does not explicitly detail its usage, players can exchange these rare materials with a skilled weaponsmith to acquire formidable equipment for their party members. This guide outlines the locations where Adamantite can be found and how to utilize it effectively.
Utilizing Adamantite for Powerful Gear
Adamantite serves as the key ingredient for forging the second-best weapons available for most characters in Final Fantasy Resonance. To obtain these weapons, players must trade the Adamantite to Aileen, a character who can be recruited during the game. If Aileen has not yet joined your party, she can be recruited by completing the side quest "Forger of Wills," which becomes available in Dilmagia starting from Chapter 5. Upon her recruitment, players can find her on the deck of their airship. Beginning in Chapter 6, Aileen will offer to craft a powerful weapon for a chosen character upon interaction.
The specific weapons crafted from Adamantite for each character are as follows:
| Character | Weapon | Weapon Effect | | :-- | :-- | :-- | | Rain | Save the Vermillion | 179 physical attack, 93 magic attack. Reduces damage taken from physical and magic attacks by 20%. | | Lasswell | Shisui | 197 physical attack, 148 magic attack. Grants Hone Senses and Placidity for 5 turns at the start of battle. | | Fina | Elysium | 114 physical attack, 162 magic attack, 141 sanctity. Increases potency of healing magic by 20%. | | Lid | Mechabo Hammer Super | 142 physical attack, 133 magic attack. Grants Overclock and allows the wielder to act first at the start of battle. | | Nichol | Codex Providentiae | 106 physical attack, 181 magic attack, 169 sanctity. Grants Tactic: Fluid Warfare for 3 turns and allows the wielder to act first at the start of battle. | | Jake | Caelum Renatum | 222 physical attack, 88 magic attack. Raises lucky level by 8 at the start of battle. Restores 2% of max MP upon dealing damage with a standard attack. | | Sakura | Roselia | 154 physical attack, 204 magic attack. Grants Concentrate for 3 turns and Sage's Eye for 4 turns at the start of battle. | | Archwitch Fina | Abyss | 130 physical attack, 178 magic attack. Increases the duration of debuffs and status ailments inflicted by the wielder by 2 turns. |
It is advisable to prioritize obtaining weapons for your most frequently used party members, as Adamantite can become scarce in later stages of the game. While even more powerful weapons exist through optional content, the Adamantite-forged gear is sufficient for completing the main story.
Locating Adamantite
There are a total of eight Adamantite pieces to be found throughout the game, allowing every character to receive a potent weapon. These materials are generally encountered in the mid- to end-game areas, with many requiring the use of the airship or progression through later story events.
The locations for all Adamantite in Final Fantasy Resonance are as follows:
-
Oblivion Palace: Two Adamantite pieces can be obtained here by turning in tablet shards. One is awarded for collecting 80 shards, and the second is received after reaching 89 shards.
-
Olderion: After upgrading the airship's scanner, this Adamantite can be acquired by scanning the bay on the northern side of Olderion.
-
Merchant Ship: A roaming merchant ship occasionally offers Adamantite for sale at a price of 35,000 gil. This is typically the first item available from the merchant. Keep an eye out for this ship as you explore the waters.
-
Rugged Mountain Path, Gronoa: This Adamantite is found within a chest located directly on the path in this dungeon.
-
Colosseum, Grandshelt: Three Adamantite pieces are available as rewards for completing specific colosseum rounds: Fledgling Battle 2, Brawler Battle 2, and Brawler Battle 3. The Colosseum can be accessed by heading left from the main plaza in Grandshelt.
