Genshin Impact is set to introduce two new characters, Valeriy and Mitya, with detailed guides now available for their abilities, constellations, and the materials required for their progression. Valeriy, a 4-Star Electro sword-user, and Mitya, a 5-Star Electro catalyst-user, are anticipated for release in version 7.2.

Valeriy's Kit and Abilities

Valeriy is characterized by his Electro element and sword proficiency. His kit revolves around a mechanic called 'Impact Momentum'. His Passive ability, 'Advance With the Creeping Barrage,' allows him to gain Impact Momentum when active party members hit opponents with Electro attacks during his Elemental Burst. This momentum can be consumed for enhanced abilities.

His Normal Attack, 'Chain Reaction,' allows for up to three consecutive strikes. Holding the attack button initiates a charged attack that consumes stamina, dealing Physical Damage. If Valeriy possesses 40 Impact Momentum, he can unleash a special charged attack, 'Direct-Fire Mortar: Point-Blank Bombardment,' consuming all Momentum for increased damage.

Valeriy's Elemental Skill, 'Active Defense: Bastion Charge,' involves him charging forward, dealing AOE Electro Damage, and deploying a Supercharged Shield. His Elemental Burst, 'Focused Fire: Lightning Salvo,' deals AOE Electro Damage and unleashes a barrage of projectiles.

Valeriy's Constellations

Unlocking Valeriy's Constellations through duplicate pulls offers significant enhancements. C1, 'The Cadence of Suppressive Fire,' improves Elemental Energy regeneration after his special charged attack and grants initial Impact Momentum upon entering combat.

At C2, 'Ranks That Charge As One,' all nearby party members gain Elemental Mastery when Valeriy uses his Elemental Skill, and his shield gains increased damage absorption when at maximum Impact Momentum.

Further Constellations, including C3 ('Vigilance at Close Quarters'), C4 ('Fortitude Unshaken By Attrition'), C5 ('Resolve to Divide and Destroy'), and C6 ('The Strength to Breach Enemy Lines'), continue to bolster his offensive capabilities, defensive properties, and overall impact on the battlefield, particularly enhancing his charged attack and Elemental Burst effects.

Valeriy's Ascension and Talent Materials

To fully upgrade Valeriy, players will need to gather specific Ascension and Talent materials. Talent materials include Teachings, Guides, and Philosophies of Glory, along with Ethereal Glimmershard, Ethereal Crystal, Ethereal Crystalscale Stone, and Counterfeit Resin. To fully level one talent requires a significant amount of these resources, including x1 Crown of Insight and 1,652,500 Mora.

Ascension materials consist of Vajrada Amethyst (in various forms), Ethereal Glimmershard, Ethereal Crystal, Ethereal Crystalscale Stone, Severed Tail of the Sky-Roamer, and Fairy Wormwood. Ascending Valeriy to level 80 will require 420,000 Mora and specific quantities of each material, with Acquaint Fate awarded at certain ascension levels.

Mitya's Kit and Abilities

Mitya, a 5-Star Electro catalyst-user, also features a unique kit centered around 'Gradient Beacons' and a 'Detection Core'. His Passive ability, 'Stellar Jubilee: Top-Secret Protocol,' enhances Stellar-Conduct reactions, increasing their base damage based on Mitya's Elemental Mastery and potentially transforming the area into a 'Polestar Field' while he is in the 'Radiance: Stellar-Conduct' state.

His Normal Attack, 'Chain Reaction,' performs up to three Electro attacks. The special charged attack, 'Gradient Detonation,' consumes Gradient Beacons for continuous AOE Electro Damage, considered Stellar-Conduct reaction damage.

Mitya's Elemental Skill, 'Principle: Variable Detection,' creates a Detection Core that can be in a 'Steady State' or 'Overloaded' state, influencing party buffs and beacon generation. His Elemental Burst, 'Analysis: Gradient Theory,' deals AOE Electro Damage and generates three Gradient Beacons.

Mitya's Constellations

Mitya's Constellations significantly amplify his supportive and offensive capabilities. C1, 'The Observer Seeking What is Missing,' increases the maximum number of Gradient Beacons, aids in their generation, and buffs the active character's Crit Damage.

At C2, 'The Matter That Slumbers Beyond Inertness,' opponents within the Polestar Field suffer decreased Cryo and Electro Resistance, with further Elemental Mastery buffs provided to party members depending on the Detection Core's state.

Subsequent Constellations, C3 ('The Knotted Strong of Invariant Topology'), C4 ('The Isotopes Born of Decay'), C5 ('The Periodic Law That Orders All'), and C6 ('Elemental Transition at the Gate of Reason'), further enhance his skill and normal attack levels, introduce damage multipliers based on Elemental Mastery for his Detection Core, and increase the Stellar-Conduct reaction damage dealt by party members.

Mitya's Ascension and Talent Materials

To ascend Mitya, players will need Talent materials such as Teachings, Guides, and Philosophies of Charity, alongside Chimeric Core, Symbiotic Chimeric Nucleus, Prime Chimeric Nexus, and Mask of the Virtuous Doctor. Fully leveling one of Mitya's talents demands x1 Crown of Insight and 1,652,500 Mora.

Ascension materials for Mitya include Vajrada Amethyst, Chimeric Core, Symbiotic Chimeric Nucleus, Prime Chimeric Nexus, Shattered Stability Anchor, and Crystalfold. Ascending Mitya to level 80 requires 420,000 Mora and substantial amounts of each specified material. Like Valeriy, Mitya's ascensions also reward Acquaint Fate at certain levels.
