How to Build the Nekomancer Wonder Weapon in Black Ops 7 Zombies

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 4 Reloaded has introduced the Kowakujo map to Zombies, featuring a new Wonder Weapon themed around the Legend of the Nekomata, a two-tailed cat spirit. This guide details the steps to unlock the Nekomancer Wonder Weapon, which is an actual cat.

The Nekomancer Wonder Weapon can be obtained by completing a specific in-game quest. While it may also appear in the Mystery Box, the Wonderbar Gobblegum can guarantee a Wonder Weapon spin, though other weapons are present, lowering the odds of acquiring the Nekomancer specifically.

Turning on the Power

To begin the Wonder Weapon quest, players must first activate the power on the Kowakujo map to unlock the Pack-a-Punch machine. The game provides quest markers, indicated in orange, to guide players through this initial process. Once Pack-a-Punch is accessible, these markers will disappear, signaling that the player can proceed with the subsequent hidden steps.

Gathering Crafting Components

Three crafting parts are required for the Nekomancer: the Furin, Karakuri, and Maneki-neko. These items can be collected in any order, and each has three potential spawn locations across the map.

The Furin, a bell-shaped component, can be found hanging in the Staging Area (near the Stamin-Up perk), the Training Area (above the Warden 308 Wall Buy), or the Stables (near the Arsenal machine).

The Karakuri, a small Japanese doll, may appear in the Storage Rooms (on a table or in a pile of ashes) or in the Workshop (by a basket near the bottom of a staircase).

The Maneki-neko, a Japanese lucky cat statue, can be located in the Gatehouse (in a small room near the Speed Cola perk) or in the Kitchens (on a wooden barrel or in a corner near the Mystery Box spawn).

Crafting the Maneki-Neko Tactical Equipment

With the three collected parts, players must head to a specific crafting bench located in the Workshop, situated next to the Vulture Aid perk machine. Interacting with this bench will craft a tactical grenade resembling a Maneki-neko. This item functions similarly to a Monkey Bomb and should be saved for a later step. Re-crafting the item costs 500 salvage if it is used or lost.

Acquiring the Cat in the Cage

This step requires the PhD Flopper perk. Players need to locate a cage containing a cat hanging from a building's rooftop in Tenshu Entrance. Using a dolphin dive or wall jump beneath the cage will cause the PhD Flopper perk's blast to knock it down, allowing it to be collected. The caged cat must then be placed into one of the lava pools on the map; the supernatural cat will emerge unharmed.

Revealing Paw Prints

Following this, players must kill zombies in four specific doorway locations to reveal glowing red paw prints. These locations are the doorways between the Central Courtyard and Kitchens, Kitchens and Flower Gardens, Staging Area and Stables, and the Training Area (south of the Warden 308 Wall Buy). The paw prints are randomized each match and will lead players to a circle of glowing prints after killing enough zombies in the vicinity. Decoy grenades cannot be used during this step, but teammates can assist by managing zombie hordes.

Sacrificing and Retrieving the Cat

Once the circle of paw prints is found, the crafted Maneki-Neko tactical equipment should be tossed onto it, transforming into a live cat. An Abomination enemy will then spawn and consume the cat, requiring players to defeat it by targeting its glowing purple mouths. After the Abomination is defeated, the cat will hide. Players will need the Death Perception perk to track the cat, which can be found near highlighted floorboards in specific areas. Using stealth, crouching, and avoiding the highlighted boards is crucial; stepping on them or firing a weapon will scare the cat away, forcing players to advance to the next round to try again. The cat must be picked up without dropping it, as doing so can cause it to flee permanently, potentially requiring a round restart.

Delivering the Cat to the World Seed

With the cat in possession, players must take it to the World Seed, a large seed on a pedestal near the Pack-a-Punch machine. Depositing the cat onto the pedestal initiates pulse waves that can damage players. Players should stand back until the fifth pulse and then melee the seed. This process is repeated until the World Seed is damaged enough to drop the cat as the fully formed Nekomancer Wonder Weapon.

Using the Nekomancer Wonder Weapon

The Nekomancer Wonder Weapon possesses three distinct functions: Spirit Bait, a primary fire that shoots spirit pulses; Hairball, a charged shot for more potent damage; and Nekopunch, a melee attack. The weapon can also be Pack-a-Punched for enhanced power and additional ammunition. The weapon's appearance changes when Pack-a-Punched, glowing more intensely.
