Completing the Boarding the Frigate quest in Arc Raiders requires players to find a method of boarding the colossal flying Arc Frigate. This event, introduced with the new Arc Frigate map modifier, presents a significant challenge that benefits from ample ammunition and healing supplies.
Ascending the Frigate
To gain access to the frigate, players must locate one of the circular Arc drones that the frigate deploys upon its arrival. Players can then climb or grapple onto one of these drones. Interacting with the drone will disrupt it, causing it to fly back towards the frigate. This action allows players to board the massive airborne structure.
Navigating and Securing the Frigate
Once aboard, the frigate is a vast environment. As players progress through its interior alongside other raiders, the frigate will deploy enemies. Specifically, Rocketeers and Vaporizers, large flying Arc units that fire rockets and lasers respectively, will appear. Additionally, formidable Hydra turrets will emerge on the top level. To complete the quest objective, players must damage all three of these enemy types. However, securing the killing blow on each is not required.
Overcoming Obstacles
Players may find it challenging to navigate the frigate's interior. New platforms can be activated by interacting with switches or by shooting specific yellow nodes. For players seeking to expedite their traversal, a Grappling Hook can bypass certain stages.
It's worth noting that while the quest requires damaging these specific enemies on the frigate, it's possible that some might be encountered elsewhere. However, the frigate appears to be the most consistent location for encountering a Hydra turret.
