The "Empathetic Prototypes" quest in Arc Raiders presents a unique challenge that requires precise use of your grappling hook and careful navigation. This guide will walk you through each step, ensuring you can successfully complete the mission and retrieve the Project Pathos Empathy Core.
Reaching the Trench Towers
Your first objective is to reach the Trench Towers located in the northern section of the Spaceport. Upon arriving at the North Trench Tower, look upwards towards the roof. Use your grappling hook to latch onto the edge of the roof and ascend. Once on the roof, find the sole door and enter. Proceed down the stairs. Ahead, you will notice several thin windows. Attach your grappling hook to one of these windows and then jump out, allowing you to dangle outside the tower.
Securing the Crate
From your dangling position outside the North Trench Tower, look down to locate a crate attached to an arm. Your goal is to land on this crate. This maneuver may require some swinging to gain momentum, or you might be able to drop and quickly press the grab button to secure your hold. Once you've landed on the crate, you will need to carefully drop onto the arm connected to it. Interacting with a prompt on the arm will allow you to lower the crate to the ground.
Disabling the Magnetic Lock and Retrieval
With the crate now on the ground, use your grappling hook on a nearby wall to create slack, enabling you to reach the bottom of the trench. Interact with the crate to automatically obtain the Project Pathos Empathy Core. It is highly recommended to have an augment with a "safe pocket" equipped before starting this quest, as you must extract with this specific item. Without a safe pocket, dying before extraction will force you to repeat the entire quest.
Delivery to Lance
The final step is to extract with the Project Pathos Empathy Core. Once you return to Lance, the Empathetic Prototypes quest will be complete. Remember to bring a grappling hook, as these can be limited in supply each week, and consider storing it in your safe pocket until needed.
