The "Sizing Things Up" quest, introduced in <em>Arc Raiders</em> with the 'Frozen Trail' update, requires players to visit various parts of a downed Emperor across the Pendola Pass map to gather data for Celeste. This quest involves several distinct objectives, some of which offer player choice.
Quest Objectives
The "Sizing Things Up" quest comprises six steps. Players must complete at least two of the first three objectives, after which the remaining ones from this initial set will become inaccessible. The subsequent three objectives must then be completed within a single playthrough.
- Photograph the Emperor's leg situated by the bridge outside Old Town.
- Locate the crashed probe near the Emperor's leg by Almatera Station, break it open, and inspect its circuitry.
- Analyze the exposed component on the Emperor's leg near Railroad Junction.
- Reach the base of the Emperor.
- Search the Buried Harvester Payload.
- Deliver the Arc Conductive Coupler to Celeste.
Objective Locations
To complete the first objective, players will need a basic or advanced camera. The Emperor's leg for the photograph is located east of Old Town, near a bridge. Players should position themselves centrally to the collapsed leg and aim their camera westward towards the leg by the bridge. Adjusting the angle and zoom may be necessary for the photo to register.
The crashed probe for the second objective can be found next to the northernmost Emperor leg, west of Almatera Station, partially buried in snow. Players must break open the probe, if it hasn't been already, and interact with it to inspect the circuitry.
For the third objective, players need to head south of Railroad Junction to the longest Emperor leg. Climbing onto this leg will reveal an interactive prompt to analyze the exposed part.
After completing two of the initial objectives, players must proceed to the base of the Emperor, located west of Piazza della Rupe. The Buried Harvester Payload can be found there, buried in the snow.
Upon collecting the Arc Conductive Coupler from the payload, players must deliver it to Celeste to finalize the quest. Completing the "Sizing Things Up" quest rewards players with three adrenaline shots, 60 heavy ammo, an exodus technical handbook, and a Bettina I.
