How to Extract Your Loot in Sand: Raiders of Sophie

Successfully extracting your hard-earned loot is crucial for survival and progress in the desert-themed extraction shooter, Sand: Raiders of Sophie. The game challenges players to navigate a barren wasteland in large vehicles called tramplers, collect valuables, and escape before succumbing to environmental hazards or other players. To initiate an extraction, players must locate and activate a radio tower.

Players can find radio towers by opening their in-game map, denoted by circular white icons with a door symbol. While the trampler offers the quickest route, players can also traverse the terrain on foot if their vehicle is destroyed. Once within 200 meters of a radio tower, a directional icon will appear on the HUD to guide the player.

Upon reaching a radio tower, players need to climb to the top via a ladder and interact with a small radio console. This action will deploy a flare and initiate a countdown timer. Following the completion of this timer, a large ship will descend and lower a rope, signaling the start of the final extraction sequence. Another countdown begins, and upon its conclusion, players and their accumulated loot are safely transported away.

Sand: Raiders of Sophie offers two distinct modes that affect the extraction process. In 'Voyage' mode, which is recommended for new players, radio towers can be activated and used for extraction at any time. This mode features no time limit, though loot may be less plentiful as other players may have already scavenged the areas. The 'Storm Dive' mode, however, introduces time-sensitive extractions. Extraction points only become available after a certain duration has passed, and players must be quick to reach them. These points are single-use, meaning once a player or squad has extracted, the location becomes unavailable. Additionally, as the storm closes in, some radio towers may become inaccessible.
