The "Freeze Frame" quest in Control Resonant tasks players with locating and disabling seven cameras scattered throughout various zones. These cameras pose a threat by freezing players in place when they take a photo, necessitating stealth and strategic approach to shut them down. Some cameras require specific traversal abilities like Shift or Reach to access, which are acquired by completing certain Faults.
Downtown Cameras
The first camera in Downtown is located in the northwestern region, east of the Dense Patterning area and south of the West Supply Route Station. Players will need the Shift ability to reach this location.
To find the Gravity Town camera, follow the road southwest from the West Supply Route Station. An upside-down building to the east will have a locked metal door. Use Shift to ascend a vertical wall to your left, access the rooftop door, and break it open with Crush to disable the camera.
The second Downtown camera is in the southeast corner of the eastern region and requires the Reach ability, obtainable from the Subway Fault in the Evacuation Zone. Head to Lookout Point and use Reach on the elevated metal platform. Below, you'll find power cores. Grab one and use it to open a door behind the camera. It's recommended to acquire the "Extended Rush" talent for this maneuver. First, jump onto the green storage container building to the right of the power cores. Then, hit a core, jump back to the green building, and proceed to the construction site. Continue south to a building with an uncharged power core on its roof. Charge it, then return to swap the charge to another core just before the camera's location, which will unlock the door.
Central Cameras
In the Central region, the Watchtower camera is the first one players can encounter. Descend to the lowest floor of the Watchtower (one floor below the elevator) and enter the orange-lit room. Proceed to the eastern corner and jump up the scaffolding. Avoid the hallway at the top; instead, jump into the hole in the ceiling, then into the subsequent hole, which will place you behind the camera.
The second camera in Central is found on the top floor of a brick factory northeast of the parking garage. Players can use Reach or jump from the parking garage roof. Once inside the factory, get caught by the camera, which will cause it to disappear. Go inside the building and descend to the bottom floor. After defeating enemies, open the red door leading outside, where the camera will reappear. Retrace your steps to the top floor via the building's interior to disable it from behind.
West Incursion Zone Cameras
Both cameras in the West Incursion Zone require the Shift ability, necessitating the completion of the Incursion Fault in the Parking Garage.
The first camera is northeast of the Parking Garage, atop a sideways building. Use Shift to reach the building's roof, but do not approach the camera directly. Instead, move to the right, jump to another rooftop, then back to the first building's higher rooftop. From the edge, drop to the ground behind the camera to shut it off.
The second camera is on a suspended scaffolding platform in the southeastern corner, northwest of the Museum of Curiosities. Walk west and use Shift to reach the road on the ceiling. Proceed to the edge and drop off, allowing the screen to invert. Jump to the floating platform and then to the next one. From there, jump to the higher suspended scaffolding platform to reach the camera's rear.
Evacuation Zone Cameras
The first camera in the Evacuation Zone is on the east side, southwest of the "Main Street" fast travel door. To disable it, players must charge the power core behind it. Collect a charge from the power cores south of the Evac Building, then transfer it to an uncharged core before a door. After opening the door, transfer the charge to another core down the street. Use this charged core to power a platform leading to a rooftop, where you can then transfer the charge to a final power core to open the camera's door.
The second camera is located on a building just south of the Railyard Street Station. Use Reach, acquired from the Railyard Street Station's Subway Fault, to get to the roof. Intentionally get caught by the camera to make it disappear. Enter the building and exit through the front door on the bottom floor; the camera will reappear. Return to the top floor via the interior to approach the camera from behind.
The Park Cameras
The first camera in The Park is on a suspended scaffolding platform outside the southern sewer entrance. To access this area, players must first traverse the northern sewer entrance and exit through the south. Power is required for this camera. Activate the power core further down the road below the elevator, using a charged core found to the south. Transfer the electricity, ascend via the elevator, glide to a higher platform, and land behind the camera on the platform below.
The second camera is inside the Nomad Avenue Station in the southwest area of The Park. Use the mold-covered door, accessible with Ignite or Inferno combat abilities. Continue along the path to find the camera.
Underpass Cameras
The first Underpass camera is near the entrance, on a pillar. Jump to the pillar before the frozen enemies, then use Reach to access a point below the camera. After defeating enemies, drop into the hole, leading to a hallway where the camera is located.
The second camera is on a pillar south of Tubes Island. Reach the island by following pillars west of The Spire. Navigate through the mold-infested area, avoiding direct approaches to the camera. Use Reach to access a red carpeted area on the ceiling, then Shift along the wall to a hole. Drop into the subsequent hole below to reach the camera from behind.
Unknown Zone Cameras
The first camera in the Unknown zone is on the upside-down portion of the central island. Use Reach to access the upper buildings, then proceed north to a construction site. The camera is on the bottom floor. Descend the stairs within the construction site, defeat the enemies that appear, and locate the camera to the left of a large mold growth.
The second camera is inside a laundromat on Factory Island, the southwest island. Use pylons from Pope's research balloon to reach Factory Island, or fast travel if available. On Factory Island, use Reach to access the building on the right side of the vertical street, then traverse the rooftops to drop behind the laundromat and enter through an open garage.
Containing the Cameras
After finding all cameras, players must confront a group of seven cameras outside the Oldest House. Approaching from the east is advised. Disabling one camera causes the others to teleport. If caught, players will revert to a previous step.
The cameras will first teleport to a rooftop north of the starting area. Access this rooftop via an alleyway to the northeast and a metal platform. Shut down the cameras there.
Next, they move to a green building in front of the player. Drop down and use Reach from a nearby brick building's roof to get behind them.
Subsequently, two cameras move to the ground in front of the player, and two to the roof of the building ahead. Go around to the north side of the area to find a door behind the ground-level cameras.
Finally, the cameras will relocate to the top of the concrete wall in the southwest corner. Return to the brick building and jump to the concrete wall. The last camera appears in its initial central position; approach it from behind to complete the quest. The reward for this challenge is the Shiny Pebble artifact recipe, which offers slow health regeneration.
