The 'Taking Stock' quest in Embark Studios' Arc Raiders presents players with a multi-step challenge, culminating in the delivery of three industrial batteries. While the quest involves photographic objectives, the scarcity of industrial batteries often proves the most significant hurdle for players.
'Taking Stock' Quest Objectives
The 'Taking Stock' quest requires completion of four out of its five steps. These include two photographic tasks and one combat-related objective, alongside the final item delivery.
Players must first travel to Stella Montis to photograph a sculpture located in the Atrium. Following this, a photo of a Baron Husk is required on the Spaceport map. For the third objective, players can choose between pinging a Bombardier on the Dam Battlegrounds or a Bastion on Buried City. The latter is generally considered easier due to the map's layout and enemy prevalence.
The ultimate objective, however, is to collect and deliver three industrial batteries to the Nomadic Envoy.
Locating Key Items and Objectives
Stella Montis Atrium Sculpture
To photograph the sculpture, players should navigate to the Atrium, a distinct location in the southern area of the upper level of Stella Montis. This area is situated adjacent to Communications and Cultural Archives. The sculpture itself is prominently placed in the center of the room. A camera is essential for completing this step.
Baron Husk on Spaceport
Two Baron Husks can be found on the Spaceport map. One is located in the northwestern section, between Fuel Depot and the West Container Yard. The second is positioned directly west of Vehicle Maintenance, leaning against the perimeter wall of the main facility. Photographing either of these fulfills the requirement.
Industrial Batteries
Dam Battlegrounds is the recommended map for locating industrial batteries. Two primary areas on this map are particularly fruitful: the Hydroponic Dome Complex and the Controlled Access Zone. Players should meticulously search all available lootable containers within these zones. Notably, within the Controlled Access Zone, finding a specific battery is necessary to unlock the control room, which often yields superior loot.
While any area designated for industrial loot theoretically may contain these batteries, empirical experience suggests the aforementioned locations offer the highest probability. Upon successfully gathering three industrial batteries, players can return them to the Nomadic Envoy in Speranza to receive their rewards: 8,000 XP, two jolt mines, and one advanced electrical component.
