To acquire the elusive paradise fish in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, players must venture to Lake Brontes, a fishing node situated on the southern edge of Saveilon. This area is recommended for parties around level 25, providing a reasonable buffer against potential enemy encounters during exploration. Paradise fish, like other rare materials, cannot always be purchased or found in crates and necessitates direct collection from designated nodes.
Locating Lake Brontes
The most efficient route from Dagsion to Lake Brontes, assuming prior exploration of the Saveilon region, begins with using the carriage to travel to the Salacia Posthouse. From there, proceed south. Upon reaching the Axion Gorge node, players have two options: travel east through the Valhalla Mine dungeon, which offers an opportunity for character leveling, or continue south and then east past the Faun's Forest node. The latter path opens access to the Messalina Orchards, a settlement where rare plants can be purchased.
Due to the rarity of paradise fish at the Lake Brontes node, multiple uses of the "Search" command may be required. Players can save their game before attempting to gather the fish and reload if unsuccessful. Alternatively, on Theodora's path, it is possible to assign a battalion to collect materials from the node automatically.
Recruiting Ninae
Paradise fish serves multiple purposes within Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, including preparation of meals at feast nodes and trade with the Vandahl Trading Co. However, its primary significance for many players is its role in recruiting Ninae, also known as the Angel of Death. After meeting the necessary support and renown level requirements for her recruitment, which vary by route, players must present one paradise fish to Ninae. Successfully doing so will convince her to join your party. Ninae is a potent unit, equipped with the "Diadem of Reflection" bloodmark that grants a +30 hit bonus when attacking, should it trigger.
