Methods for Acquiring Reset Items

Vendor Purchases
The most straightforward way to acquire reset items is by purchasing them from vendors. Each vendor offers one reset item for 5,000 Source at every vendor level. To maximize this method, players will need to level up each zone, which occurs naturally through exploration, defeating enemies, and completing quests.
Vending Machine Encounters
Vending machines can also yield reset items. Some vending machines are 'altered items' that, when defeated, reward the player with a reset item. These machines will flee upon being hit, requiring players to chase them down. Be cautious, as they may lead you towards groups of enemies. While not every vending machine is an altered item and they are not marked on the map, at least one can typically be found in each area.
Defeating Resonant Bosses
Defeating resonant bosses will grant a reset item upon leaving The Gap. Most of these bosses are marked on the in-game map, simplifying their location. However, resonant bosses are considered difficult encounters, and players may often find themselves needing reset items specifically to overcome these challenges.
Arcade Machine High Scores
The most challenging method involves arcade machines. As a zone levels up, its associated arcade machine becomes available. Achieving the highest score on these machines, which involves completing difficult challenges like timed parkour courses or enemy defense scenarios, rewards players with a reset item. Due to their difficulty, it is advisable to attempt these challenges later in the game, after strengthening your character and unlocking more abilities.
