Amassing gold in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is crucial for acquiring the best equipment and weapons for your units. Neglecting your finances can quickly lead to a depleted treasury, hindering your army's readiness. Fortunately, several methods can help you consistently earn money.
Hunting Insects
Keep an eye out for nodes marked with an insect-like icon near Dagsion. These locations feature "animal packs" where you will encounter Blight Louses. Defeating these enemies can yield either an insect pearl, sellable for 300 gold, or a large insect pearl, which fetches 1,500 gold. Prioritizing these encounters when in need of funds is a reliable strategy.
Searching Purse Nodes
On the world map, nodes with a purse icon often indicate abandoned temples or fortresses containing treasures. Utilizing the "Search" command in these areas can uncover coins, large coins, and crates. Coins sell for 30 gold, while large coins command 1,200 gold each. The contents of crates can also provide a significant gold reward. For players on Theodora's path, deploying a battalion in a purse node allows for the passive collection of multiple coins.
Trading with Vandhal Merchants
Members of the Vandhal Trading Co. can be found in Dagsion and on the world map. These merchants offer a unique exchange system where they trade their stock for materials, rather than gold. This presents an opportunity to acquire valuable items, such as iron swords that normally cost 1,500 gold, for a relatively small material cost. Trading for these items and then selling them can be an efficient way to generate profit.
Selling Unneeded Materials
As you progress through Part 1, especially on Cai's or Theodora's paths, you will accumulate various materials. These can be gathered by exploring dungeons for ores, leaving battalions in multiple nodes, or cultivating rare vegetables with Cai. Any surplus materials that you do not require can be sold for gold.
Completing Quests
Engaging in quests is one of the most direct and rewarding methods for earning gold. Side quests not only provide gold but also renown and experience points. Later in Part 1, the appearance of paralogue missions offers substantial rewards, with each typically yielding 20,000 gold. This income is essential for adequately preparing your units for upcoming challenges.
