Hartalis, a unique Legendary Pal in Palworld, cannot be found roaming the game's Palpagos Islands. Instead, players must summon it using a special item and a dedicated structure within their base. This process involves several steps, including gathering specific fragments and constructing key facilities.
Summoning Hartalis
To begin the process, players need to build a Pal Expedition Station at their base, which becomes available at level 22 in the Technology Tree. From this station, Pals can be sent on expeditions to locations such as the Celestial Sakura Cavern, Dark Cave of Feybreak, and Ancient Feybreak Remains. The goal of these expeditions is to acquire four Hartalis Slab Fragments.
Once these fragments are collected, a Hartalis Slab can be crafted at a Workbench. The next crucial step is constructing a Summoning Altar at the base, a structure unlocked at level 33 in the Technology Tree. Using the crafted Hartalis Slab at the Summoning Altar will initiate a fight against Hartalis. Players will be presented with a choice: fight Hartalis at their base or in a designated Raid Area. It is strongly recommended to choose the Raid Area option to prevent potential damage to the player's base.
This encounter is a formidable challenge. Players should aim to be around level 70, with similarly leveled Pals, as Hartalis is a level 70 Pal with two distinct phases, requiring its health bar to be depleted twice within a 10-minute timeframe.
Upon successfully defeating Hartalis, players will be rewarded with a Huge Common Egg (Legendary), which can be incubated to hatch their very own Hartalis.
Hartalis's Attributes and Abilities
Hartalis is a Neutral-type Pal and is weak to Dark-type attacks. Its Partner Skill, Sacred Barrier, allows it to be mounted and deploy a barrier that blocks all incoming attacks. While mounted, Hartalis can also perform a triple jump. To utilize Hartalis as a mount, the Hartalis Saddle must be unlocked in the Technology Tree at level 70.
In terms of Work Suitability, Hartalis excels at Lumbering at Level 7 and Gathering at Level 7. However, given its utility as a mountable Pal with a defensive barrier, players might find it more beneficial for exploration and combat rather than solely for base operations.
Hartalis Stats and Drops
Hartalis boasts impressive base stats, with HP, Attack, and Defense values contributing to its challenging nature. When defeated, Hartalis drops various items, though the specific list of drops is extensive. The Pal's maximum stats can be further enhanced through various passive skills and bonuses, such as Musclehead, Ferocious, Lucky, Legend, Burly Body, Masochist, and Hard Skin, along with Full Soul and Condenser Bonuses.
