Recommended Location and Vehicle
Players are advised to attempt the drift tap at the Kawazu Nanadaru Loop Bridge Drift Zone. This location features a long, solid wall that parallels most of the drift zone. Crucially, starting at the beginning of this zone makes other cars invisible, simplifying the process. While any car can be used, a vehicle better suited for drifting or a faster car will make the task easier. The Lotus Evija Forza Edition is noted as a capable option, but even a stock Honda Acty can be used.
Executing the Drift Tap
To perform a drift tap, position your car along the outer wall, ideally in second or third gear. Gently tap the e-brake—by pressing A or X on a controller, or the spacebar on a keyboard—and then slightly steer your car away from the wall. This action should cause the rear of your vehicle to brush against the wall, successfully executing the drift tap.
If you are using a slower vehicle, attempting the maneuver downhill can help achieve the necessary speed more easily.
Completing the Challenge
The "Bouncing off the Walls" challenge requires three successful drift taps. These cannot be performed consecutively; a brief pause is necessary between each attempt.
